Terms of Use of Mahaba
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Welcome to Mahaba. By using our website or services, you agree to the following terms, which blend Islamic principles with legal and ethical responsibilities. Please read carefully — this represents a religious, legal, and moral commitment.
These Terms of Use constitute an agreement between you and Mahaba, Inc. ("Mahaba"), the provider of the Service.
1. Serious intent and platform purpose
Mahaba is exclusively for Muslims who are seriously seeking a lawful (Shariah-compliant) marriage. Use of the platform for casual relationships, entertainment, or non-marital intent is strictly prohibited.
By registering, you confirm that your intention is sincere, that you are Islamically and legally eligible for marriage (typically age 18 or older), and that you are seeking a lawful marriage in accordance with Islamic values.
By registering for an account, you acknowledge that Mahaba may contact you using the email address and phone number associated with your account for service-related communications and other purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
2. Respect and privacy
• You must treat all users with dignity and respect. These are fellow Muslims, and you are accountable before Allah for your conduct.
• Any information shared through the platform — including user details, guardian contacts, or communication — is private and confidential. It may not be saved, shared, or misused.
• Do not mention "Mahaba" to the user’s family unless mutually agreed upon. This is to protect the other party’s privacy and avoid discomfort.
3. Communication must be proper
We follow the Qur’anic guidance: “Enter houses through their doors.” (Surah Al-Baqarah 2:189)
You are strongly encouraged to involve a guardian or trusted intermediary in all communications. Direct contact between men and women — especially without permission — is discouraged and may expose you to risks.
4. Compliance with local laws
If you intend to marry someone from a different nationality, it is your responsibility to obtain legal permission from the relevant authorities in your country.
Mahaba holds no liability for any legal violations related to undocumented or unauthorized marriages.
5. No financial transactions
Sending or receiving money through Mahaba — directly or indirectly — before a documented Islamic marriage contract is finalized is strictly prohibited.
Any financial dealings are your sole responsibility. Mahaba is not responsible for the outcome or consequences of such actions.
6. Account and conduct responsibility
• You are fully responsible for your account, actions, and communications on the platform.
• Sharing accounts, impersonation, or submitting false information is prohibited.
• Casual chatting, flirting, or inappropriate messages and content will result in immediate account action.
• Male-female interactions should only take place through official platform features (e.g., information requests, the supervised chat between matched members, or contact via guardian).
• Chats between matched members are supervised: the Mahaba team can read them and delete any message that breaks Mahaba's rules, which counts as a rule breach.
7. Verification and due diligence
Mahaba conducts a basic profile verification process, but we do not endorse or vet any user.
You are responsible for independently verifying the seriousness and credibility of anyone you engage with.
8. Data protection and privacy
Your data is protected in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law.
You have the right to access, modify, delete, or withdraw consent regarding your data at any time. Please contact us to make such requests.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use occasionally. Updates will be posted on this page. Continued use of Mahaba means you accept the latest version.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. If you are accessing the service from outside Saudi Arabia, your use may also be subject to the laws of your local jurisdiction.
11. And finally...
Don’t forget to pray Istikhara. Whoever seeks Allah’s guidance will never regret it.
We ask Allah to bless you with a righteous spouse and a successful marriage.
